Common scams to watch out for
At ZYNLO, your security is our priority. But scammers are getting smarter—and sneakier. From fake bank websites to AI-powered impersonation calls, emails and text messages, here are the most common scams targeting bank customers and how you can protect yourself.
1. Impersonation Scams (Now with AI)
Telltale signs of a scam:
- Urgency: They pressure you to act fast—“your account will be locked,” “you’ll lose access,” or “this is your last chance.”
- Fraudulent Activity Verification: They will try to get your to click on malicious links by saying: “Please click the link below to verify a suspicious transaction”—best to check your online banking yourself first or call the bank using a known good number.
- Unusual requests: Asking for your login credentials, multi-factor authentication codes, PIN, or to move money between accounts.
- Unfamiliar contact methods: Calls or texts from numbers you don’t recognize, or emails from suspicious domains.
- Too good or too scary to be true: Promises of large rewards or threats of legal action.
How to protect yourself:
- Hang up and call ZYNLO directly using the number on our website.
- Never share account info over unsolicited calls, texts, or emails.
- Trust your instincts—if something feels off, it probably is.

5. Fake Job Offers
Scammers post fake remote jobs and ask for money upfront for training or supplies.

How to protect yourself:
- Never give remote access to your device.
- Call or message ZYNLO directly if you’re unsure.
7. Unsolicited Checks
